Newcomers to Spain can find the business environment difficult to understand at first, especially if they are accustomed to other ways doing things. Legal requirements are much more onerous than in other countries, financial systems are different to those in force for example in North America or Northern Europe, and fiscal and reporting requirements can be a labyrinth for those used to more simple regimes.
